For those of you wondering "Whatever happened to that Redo19 character I loved so much?", here's the deal. School's way more intense than I expected. In fact, I've dropped pretty much all of my hobbies for the time being - D&D, video games, card games, etc. I've simply been plagued with endless projects and assignments, most of which don't even involve my tablet. ;_;
Earlier I believe I mentioned that I have 2 art classes this term. Turns out that wasn't exactly the case. I have one digital graphics class, which seems to be primarily about Adobe Illustrator this term. I also have 3D Animation, which I assumed would involve creating 3d characters and whatnot (we actually did this in the digital graphics class, oddly enough). And since both kind of rely on vector programming, the tablet is rendered somewhat pointless.
Other than those classes, I also have programming, multimedia, web development, and math. Funny how that last one doesn't seem to flow with the others, eh? I won't delve into the specifics of each as I'm really tired, but just understand that I have a lot of schoolwork to begin with.
Now, on top of that, I've joined a game development club. We're about a month into development, and though there's been a flat tire and a few bumps in the road, we're still trucking. I'm sort of the leader of the writing team (we don't have an official leader, but I'm picky and tell everyone what needs to be done). I'm also technically a concept artist, but this is in title only; the only thing I've contributed to that so far is the bust sketch of Brian. Didn't get much feedback.
The writing is probably the most work out of all of it. We've picked a game with an intense and interweaving plotline. It's going to have a lot of player choice in how the story goes - kind of like a mesh of the mass effect system and the dating sim system. I can't say any more or I'll be hung by my entrails and my corpse will be paraded through the city. (Seriously, though, it's supposed to be hush-hush. Don't tell the rest of the internet I told you.)
I'm really tired. Feel free not to read this at all. I don't mind.
PS. Mumford & Sons is a great band. Listen to them.
